Salt Lake City—Gary Bowen is Steton Technology Group’s new chief financial officer. He has 28 years experience in finances and operations management. Previously, Bowen worked as a management consultant for GB Leadership & Management Consulting, VP of finance & operations for Amer Sports and CFO/VP of operations for Ogio International. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University. Steton provides business performance software to the food service, hospitality and retail industries. The company has offices in Salt Lake City and St. George.
Salt Lake City—The Salt Lake Chamber has announced Abby Albrecht as a Public Policy Area Director and Director of the Utah Transportation Coalition. Albrecht’s hiring comes as the Salt Lake Chamber builds the strength of its public policy team. Albrecht most recently worked for Granite Construction having served as Government and Public Affairs Manager, which included the responsibilities of overseeing government affairs, corporate branding and gifting, marketing and business development. In 2012, she became the Director for the Utah Transportation Coalition, a group of business and civic leaders working together to protect Utah’s environment, improve the economy and preserve our quality of life. The Coalition advocates for transportation investment and a long-term funding solution for both state and local needs. Albrecht was featured in Utah Construction & Design as a “Young Gun of 2013,” for being an individual that is making their mark within their respective industry and helping lead their company to greater heights. Albrecht is an active committee member of the Utah AGC, ABC, a founding member of the Utah 2040PAC, sits on the Executive Board U.S. Chamber Transportation Infrastructure and Logistics Committee and is a board member of the GOAL Foundation.
Salt Lake City—Zions Bank has promoted three senior managers to executive management roles over key divisions. Tom Morgan has been promoted to executive vice president of Retail Banking. He is responsible for sales and strategy of the bank’s 124 branches in Utah and Idaho. Most recently, he served as Central Utah Region President and has held various senior leadership positions with the company since he joined Zions in 1989. David R. Gill has been promoted to executive vice president of Zions Bank’s Corporate Services Division, bringing 13 years of financial industry experience to the position. Previously, he served as the director of Corporate Services. Cristie Richards has been named as an executive vice president in Private and Executive Banking. She previously served as senior vice president of retail strategies at Zions Bank, and brings 26 years of financial industry experience to the position.
Salt Lake City—Transfac Capital, the Salt Lake City-based company specializing in factoring and alternative business finance, continues the expansion of its talented sales team by appointing Tanya Fontenot as Vice President of Business Development.
