Dean has been an industry leading visionary impacting several industries and companies over the years. His tenure as CEO and President of Greenfield Online/Ciao (2001 to 2005) marked the establishment of the world’s largest interrelationship of global online consumer communities and a successful Nasdaq IPO. As CEO of a second company, Dean identified an emerging market in enterprise feedback management and partnered with VC firm Austin Ventures to acquire and integrate two perpetual software companies, Websurveyor and Perseus. The two companies were merged into one entity which was rebranded as Vovici and converted to a SaaS business model and eventually acquired by Verint VRNT.
Most recently, as FoodLogiQ’s CEO for over three years, he led the company to become the leading SaaS provider of traceability, food safety, and supply chain transparency solutions for restaurant chains, food retailers, growers, packers, processors, shippers, and consumer product companies. Additionally, he was recognized as the “Pro to Know” by “Supply and Demand Chain Executive” in 2017 and was nominated twice for Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award.
